I finally made here—Manga museum!
It’s located in Kitakyushu city Fukuoka prefecture Japan. My hubby and I are big fan of manga. We were so excited when my hubby’s contemporary music buddy suggested to take us there.
Manga museum has lots of items related to Kitakyushu manga artists, Reiji Matsumoto, the author of Galaxy Express 999 (銀河鉄道 999) and Star Blazers (宇宙戦艦ヤマト).
Galaxy Express 999, tome 16
宇宙戦艦ヤマト2199 (6) (カドカワコミックス・エース)
In permanent exhibition area, we can see his history, recent interview, original art works and the original video of Galaxy Express 999, which we can see only here.
The pic below is Captain Harlock, the very popular character in his art works.
In other permanent exhibition area, we can learn:
☆The history of how the manga expressions were developed
☆The system of manga market
☆New manga artist’s work
Moreover, there is –manga library! OMG! I can stay forever! Year pass is available, only 2,000 yen (about 18 dollars). If I lived in this city, I would get the year pass, for sure.
After exploring the regular exhibition, we moved to special exhibition area. How lucky I am. The area was exhibiting my favorite comic magagine collections. I love this comic magazine, Margaret, since I was teenager.
Margaret is a comic magazine for eternal girl like me!
My heart was skipping a beat all the time during exploring Margaret collections such as The Rose of Versailles,

Attack No. 1 vol. 2
Boys over Flowers,

My love story!
俺物語!! 1 (マーガレットコミックス)
so many!! i can’t deside what is the best…..
Maybe, my husbby enjoyed Margaret collections, too, even though he is a man. He was impressed the amazing detailed original art pictures, which require different techniques from guy’s comic art pictures.
Unfortunately, We were not allowed to take pictures. I wish I could upload these amazing original pictures.
We stay the manga museum for a long time. Our friends had already finished to see around the museum and waited for us at a downstairs coffee shop. We felt sorry.
Overall, I loveed this place. I learned a lot about manga. I want to read mangas more and more.
